Archie Reaside, Shannon Rd, (Formerly Drimnagh) R.I.P. We pray for Archie who died peacefully at Regional Hosp., Portlaoise on Thurs. 9th Jan. Archie’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Fintan’s Church, Mountrath on Tues. 14th Jan. at 11 o’clock – followed by burial in Mountrath Cemetery. We keep his family in our prayers at this time. Archie served in the Congo with the UN in the 1960’s – Was President of the UN Vetern Association Post No. 27 Portlaoise. . . May Andy and Archie rest in the peace of Christ.
Andrew (Andy) Sinnott, Lr. Sconce and Baltinglass, R.I.P.
We pray for Andy who died peacefully at Regional Hosp.,Portlaoise on Thurs. 9th Jan. Andy’s Funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Fintan’s Church, Mountrath on Sat. 11th Jan. followed by burial in Mountrath Cemetery. We extend sympathy to wife, Sheila and all the Sinnott family, his brother, Bill (Shannon Rd.,) and his family. His sister, Mary (Lowry) and family, all Andy’s extended family, relatives, neighbours and a very wide circle of friends. May Andy rest in the peace of Christ.
Many thanks to all involved in our Christmas liturgies – Sacristans,(ANd theur families) Readers, Ministers of Holy Communion, Servers, Collectors, Musicians and Choirs, People who erected the Christmas Tree, put up the decorations, put up the Crib and arranged the flowers, people who cleaned and prepared our church for Christmas, Co-ordinators – Thank you for your involvement and participation in our Liturgies. You make it all worthwhile. Hope you found our liturgies prayerful and meaningful. Wishing you every Grace and Blessing as we enter a New Year with renewed vigour and hope.

Community Well being Vision being Developed in Laois
Laois PPN are delighted to be rolling out a new National Initiative on Community wellbeing. The PPN is bringing together social inclusion, environment and community development voices in our communities to develop a Wellbeing Vision Statement that sets out their shared vision for County Laois.
