Mountrath Christmas Lights 10th Anniversary
Mountrath Christmas Lights is celebrating our 10th Anniversary this December, within the past 10 years we have managed to light up our town for the season of Christmas for all the surrounding community to enjoy, we have a bright, glowing centre piece in The Square, two large Christmas trees at each end of our town and not forgetting the pole displays on Main Street, and the small trees that light up every year on the businesses of Mountrath.
Like every thing in life there is an ongoing expense to maintain this standard each year such as our annual insurance, ESB Bills, repairs and upgrade of lights. As we are a small committee, we need the support of our town and surrounding community to help us raise the necessary funds to sustain Mountrath being lit up for the season of Christmas.
We have planned a few fundraisers over the next month or so, and your support will be greatly appreciated.
Kicking off our first fundraiser is a Cake Sale in the Square, Mountrath on Friday April 12th from 9 am. If anyone would like to bake or donate anything to our cake sale please contact Colette, Lynda, Carol or Celine 0874162377.
Followed by a Disco for all children attending the local National Schools, in Castletown Community Hall on Friday 12th April from 7 pm to 9 pm. Admission €5 per Child.
On Saturday May 4th we have a Little Black Dress Night for all the Ladies, to get dressed up and dance the night away to DJ Noel Brennan, In Sox’s Bar. Tickets on Sale €10 each from Colette Phelan, Lynda Deegan , Carol Boyan and Celine’s Hair Salon.
On behalf of our Committee, Colette, Lynda, Carol and Celine we would like thank Mountrath and the Surrounding Community for your support in the past 10 years and look forward to your ongoing support in the future.
